UBS Parade Spectacular in Stamford

Everyone in Stamford is buzzing with excitement about the UBS Parade Spectacular that is taking place this weekend - Sunday, November 22 at noon. The UBS Parade Spectacular is one of the largest helium balloon parades in the entire country. This is your chance to see an oversized Elmo, Mr. Potato Head, Big Bird, Thomas the Train and all of your other favorite characters soaring through the air. In addition, award-winning marching bands will be filling the streets with music and there will be fabulous floats driving through the streets. Needless to say, this is an event that is fun for the whole family and can’t be missed.

This year’s Grand Marshals are Connie Chung and Maury Povich. The parade commences at noon, but you’ll definitely want to get to Downtown Stamford earlier than the start time in order to secure yourself a front-row seat along the parade route. Last year’s event drew a crowd of over 100,000 people! The route starts at Hoyt and ends at Atlantic Street.

To let your kids see the excitement coming to life, don’t miss the Giant Balloon Inflation Party taking place on Saturday, November 21st from 3 to 6 p.m.

With the Townhouse apartments and Hoyt Bedford only a few blocks from the parade route, it should be no problem for residents of these downtown Stamford apartments to make it to the parade in time.
