New Haven Restaurant Week Begins Nov 8

From November 8 to November 13, anyone that has been longing to try signature New Haven restaurants will have their opportunity. Restaurant Week features prix fixe lunch and dinners menus at 29 award-winning and internationally diverse restaurants in downtown New Haven. These menus are offered at a discounted price of $16.38 for lunch (priced for the year New Haven was founded) and $29 for dinner. These prices are per person and do not include gratuity or tax.
The November 2009 New Haven Restaurant Week has inspired quite a few special events and activities. For example, many downtown stores are offering extended hours for the week, giving you ample opportunity to work up an appetite before your fine dining reservation. There will also be street performances, a New Haven Culinary Walking Tour, Elm City Cocktail Competition and more.
Reservations are encouraged as these restaurants are expected to be extremely busy during the week. Some of the participating restaurants include Barcelona, Basta Trattoria, Central Steakhouse, Downtown at the Taft, Ibiza, John Davenports at the Top of the Park, L’Orcio, Miya’s Sushi, Zinc and so many more. Restaurant Week is the type of thing that will bring you into New Haven three or four times in only one week because you can’t try only one of these restaurants, you need to make the most of it.
