Don’t Miss the Branford Fair and Silent Auction
By
On Saturday, November 7th, the United Methodist Church in Branford will be filled with fun activities, baked goods, local vendors and more as the Annual Holiday Fair and Silent Auction take over, and this year’s event is full of surprises for everyone. The festivities begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m. With so much going on, you will want to make the most of all six hours the fair is open. Don’t worry about breakfast because you can get it at the fair. From 8 to 10, you can enjoy tea and scones. Come lunch time, you can feast on hot dogs, soup, chili and more. Plus, the Bake Shoppe will also be open featuring goodies like brownies, breads, cakes, pies and more for you to take home.
You can expect to see all of your old favorites in the main hall - the green house, book shelf, silent auction, granny’s cellar, assorted handcrafted items and more. However, there are also new additions to this year’s event, like the brand new kids’ corner. Local vendors like Avon, Lia Sohpia, Tastefully Simple, Party Lite Candles, Discovery Toys and more will have their crafts on display in the classrooms. Holiday family photos will be available all day long.
The Branford Police and Fire Departments will be on hand giving demonstrations on holiday safety for the family like “Smoke Trailer” and “Kid Care ID.” All in all, the day will be jam packed with fun and goodies and there doesn’t seem to be a better way to spend a Saturday in Branford than at the Holiday fair.
The community events like the annual holiday fair help to make Branford such an extraordinary city to call home. Plus, Branford is located right outside of New Haven, creating the perfect setting for Yale students and individuals that work in New Haven but don’t want to have to deal with the congestion of the big city. For peaceful and serene home life, there is hardly a better community than Montoya. Situated upon a green hilltop, these Branford apartments offer beautiful natural views in an impeccable location.
