Connecticut Fall Festivals 2011
ByDid you know that Connecticut is the country’s 3rd smallest state? For local residents, this means that anything and everything in the state is a short, scenic drive away their Stamford, Branford, Hamden or Norwalk apartments. Now that the heat of summer is starting to subside, it is the perfect time of year to plan to attend one of the many upcoming fall festivals. At no cost except gas, you can take a drive and enjoy nature’s colorful backdrop event which can be as interesting as the destination festival itself.
For something interesting, you can enjoy the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association’s Annual Fall Festival for a glimpse of the state of technology before the days of computers, cell phones and other electronic gadgets. You will have an opportunity to see a wide variety of restored antique machines in operation as well as blacksmith and sawmill demonstrations, train rides, other exhibits and of course plenty of food.
