Hours of Fun at Stepping Stones Museum for Children

By

steppingstonesSummer is nearly here and while the first few weeks are filled with trips to the beach, the library, barbecues and sleep-over’s, there comes a time when every parent hears the inevitable “I’m bored” lament from their children. Luckily there’s plenty to do in Norwalk near our rentals in Stamford to keep everyone happy.

Just about 1 mile from our Morningside Gardens apartments on Prospect Street, you can find the exciting Stepping Stones Museum for Children, in Matthews Park (next to the Lockwood- Matthews Mansion Museum). Stepping Stones Museum for Children is not just any museum. It’s a fun, colorful and engaging environment that recognizes the value of play in promoting learning, creativity and discovery. As a special place where children of all ages are encouraged to explore, invent, test and observe, the museum is a leading destination for schools, groups, families and anyone seeking a “wow!” experience.

Their new and totally awesome, Energy Lab is a wet, wild and wonderful way for children to learn about the science of energy. As they use their boundless energy to explore the million-dollar exhibit, they’ll find a “working lab” that inspires a natural curiosity to imagine and invent. Rainforest Adventure is a multisensory expedition that introduces children to tropical rainforests around the world while explaining the challenges facing these unique ecological wonders, and suggests ways that we can make a difference. Children are encouraged to role-play as research assistants in problem-solving adventures. Featuring more than 40 interactive components, two computer games, a distance learning kiosk and plenty of fun expedition props – vests, flashlights, binoculars and more!

So make plans to take your kids (or borrow someone else’s) and take the ride over. I guarantee a fun time! Call for admission schedules and ticket prices: (203) 899-0606 or text INSPIRE to 88500 to join Stepping Stones Insiders Club and get up to the minute deals and special exhibit info.
