Residents of Branford Apartment Rentals to Benefit from Municipal Projects
ByThose who live in our Montoya Branford apartment rentals are sure to notice a number of changes coming this year. There have been new laws passed and a number of new municipal projects which have come to fruition and will change life for the better.
Ground was broken on a new fire headquarters for which construction is underway and on time, with cost-savings that have allowed the town to include green energy innovations such as solar paneling. In addition, fire hydrant markers are being added so that they are easy to find even under the snow that winter storms bring down upon us.
Branford was also named a “Tree City” by the Department of Environmental Protection, one of only 19 in the state, for its commitment to keeping trees a priority in its urban planning. In the wake of Hurricane Irene, the Branford Garden Club started the “Scarecrows on the Green” fundraiser aimed at replacing plants that were damaged by the storm. Branford is also growing the accessibility to the town green with funds from the state government to add sidewalks, lighting and other features.
