See Avatar in IMAX

Considering the movie has already surpassed the $1 billion sales mark worldwide, there is a good chance that you have already seen James Cameron’s latest film Avatar. However, there is nothing like catching an epic adventure, such as this one, on the IMAX screen. The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk is home to an IMAX screen that is six stories tall and as wide as two tractor-trailer trucks parked nose-to-tail. Plus, the whole theater is wired with a laser aligned, 10,000 watt, digital surround system. Basically, these characteristics are a fancy way of saying that the IMAX experience will make you think you are actually a part of the movie. The richness of the color and incredible magnification of detail will ensure you pick up on every aspect of the film. You’ll want to check the Maritime Aquarium website for show dates and times, and a movie of this caliber will certainly be drawing a crowd. It’s very possible that showtimes will sell out, so be sure to get your tickets early. As this is one of the only IMAX theaters in all of Connecticut, people from across the state will be flocking to Norwalk. However, those lucky individuals living in the beautiful Norwalk apartments at Morningside Gardens won’t have to worry about traveling far or missing anything that comes to the IMAX.
